Although I have grown tired of generic tasting Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs, I never get tired of white Chateauneufs.  Each one tastes different, since the blend varies from one producer to another.  The problem is that they are hard to find at our local retailers, and I usually end up buying them on-line.  I picked up this one, however, at Wine Connection in Del Mar.  The blend is 45% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 20% Bouroulene, and 5% Rousanne.  The wine can't compete with the best of the white Chateauneufs, but still has a nice (albeit light) nose of flowers and peach, with orange fruits and honey on the mid-palate.  A short but crisp finish.
