I have seen Clark-Claudon may times on the shelves of wine stores, with it's distinctive tall-neck bottle.  I have never had a chance to try it until November 2008 when I had the pleasure of trying the 2002 vintage.  The wine is a typical expression of California cab with plenty of ripe fruit and heavy but well integrated tannin.  The tannic back bone of the wine suggests that although this 6 year old wine was drinking nicely, I do not think I would drink a very young bottle.

3.75 stars.
