Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, 1995 (Napa Valley)

I love Dunn Vineyards. The only thing they make is cabernet sauvignon. They stick with what they do best, and they do it very, very well. They make a Howell Mountain cab, and a "Napa Valley" cab, made from some grapes from Howell Mountain and the rest from the Napa Valley floor. The Howell Mountain cabs need a lot of time in the bottle before they are ready to drink (minimum 10-15 years, in my opinion). I have been drinking 20 year old Dunn Howell Mountain cabs and they taste like they have another decade of life in them.
The Napa cabs from Dunn drink sooner. Having said that, the 1995 Dunn cab still tastes youthful. I have had it twice in the last year. I'll skip all the descriptive terms since you can only use the same adjectives so many times without losing your credibility. Instead, I'll just say that the Dunn Napa cab is one of the best cabs out there, and drinks like a wine costing twice the price. I like the wines so much I signed up for their mailing list recently.
