Franciscan Napa Valley Chardonnay (2005)

There are plenty of great California Chardonnays for under $20.  Therefore, I am reluctant to pay much more than that.  The Franciscan Chardonnay is a perfect example.  It can be found at many of the local grocery stores for about $15, and it drinks very well.  Not too oaky, but enough to give some nice vanilla notes to the bouquet, while maintaining the freshness of the fruit.

Very well done at this price point.  3.25 stars
