Waterford Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon, 2003 (South Africa)

This 2003 vintage of Waterford Caberent, from the South African region of Stellenbosch was excellent.  I picked it up at Costco for about $15, I believe.

The wine is dark in color, and has a meaty, smokey, gamey bouquet, with enough ripe fruit to let you know this is a big extracted cab.  The wine packs a lot of tannin, and may not appeal to those who like softer wines.  For those who like a big mouthfeel, give this wine a try.
