Martinelli Pinots are amonst the best in California.  It seems so many people these days are running to Santa Lucia Highlands to purchase grapes and start new wineries that focus has shifted away from some of the more established wineries.  Martinelli is excellent, year in and year out.  The 2004 Biondi Ranch Pinot from Martinelli boasts smoke, rose petals, wild cherry and a bit of cinnamon.  An outstanding wine.  4 stars
