I apologize for not remembering which vintage wine I tasted.  It was either the 2001 or 2002.  I had the wine at Mille Fleurs Restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe.  Actually, I had the wine at the piano bar with some heavy appetizers.  Anyone who has not been to Mille Fleurs lately should check it out.  They have remodeled the dining room, and added a bar menu which is available even when the dining room is not open.

I had never heard of Arns Winery before I tried this wine at Mille Fleurs.  I'm not sure what compelled me to order it.  They have a great wine list at the restaurant, with many of my favorites.  I ordered the Arns on a lark, and boy am I glad I did.  This wine was a show-stopper.   Possibly the best California cab I have had this year.  What more do I need to tell you?  If you see it, try it.  It's that simple.

No matter which vintage you try, you'll love it. And this wine cellars extremely well, too. Best with food. Not inexpensive but worth every penny. In addition to selling it by the bottle, restaurants in Napa Valley have started selling this wine for over $16 a glass.

Plus, they are now offering a cab that is not estate grown, so it's a little less expensive. Also coming out with a Syrah this fall. Yum! www.arnswinery.com

Thanks for the info.  I'd like to try both the syrah and the new cab.  Any idea when they will be hitting the shelves?
