Lynch Bages 1995 (Pauillac, Bordeaux)

The 1995 Lynch Bages is probably the best wine I have had this year.  Granted, it is only March, but this wine was amazingly good.  A brooding smoky bouquet was followed by a lush seductive black currant drenching of the palate.  Finely integrated tannins, and a velvety finish.  This is one of the better drinking Bordeauxs currently from the 1995 vintage.

5 stars.
