Joh. Jos. Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese 2003 (German Riesling, Mosel)

This entry was posted on 2/25/2007 3:33 PM and is filed under Riesling.

Prum is a very old and very reliabel Riesling producer.  Those unfamiliar with Rieslings (such as myelf) will rarely go wrong selecting a Prum Riesling when confronted with a cohort of Rieslings at similar price points.  The 2003 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling from Prum is has a lemon zest-honey boquet, with slate, fuji apple, and key limes on the palate.  A long finish for a young Riesling.

3.5 stars

Purcahsed for roughly $35 at the Wine Connection in Del Mar.
