Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 1997

The crop of 1997 Brunellos are now starting to hit their peak.  The 1997 Argiano Brunello is a dandy, and sells for less than most of the other 97's out there in the marketplace.  A little amber at the edge of an otherwise garnet colored wine leads hints at the age of the wine.  The wine has notes of licorice, graphite, and hint of menthol followed by a wild cherry and blackberry dominated palate.  Finely integrated tannins present here too.

A great effort.  This wine is hard to find, but is making it's rounds on the on-line auction sites for about $50.00
