Ladera 2002 Lone Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

I am a newcomer to the world of Ladera, but I really like what I taste.  At the Harvest Ranch Market in Del Mar, they sell a regular Ladera Cab, and the more expensive Lone Canyon Vineyard cab from Ladera.  The Lone Canyon sells there for $69.  I am sure it can be found for less at the discount retailers.

The wine was amazing.  Both my wife and I were floored how good it was.  If you can justify this price for a wine, go buy some.  The wine is big and precocious, with abundant blackberry, cassis, and a hint of licorice and cedar.  A truly great cab that is drinking beautifully.
