I will make this simple.  If your budget allows wine purchases in this price category, and if you like cabernet, just go to the store and buy this wine.  It's that simple.  You don't need to read anything else.  Just go to the store.....now!

For those of you who need more convincing, I could go on and on about the "burst from the glass" bouquet, the palate drenching fruit, the purity of flavor or the beautiful finish, but what's the point?  The proof is in the glass.  If you still need more convincing, just realize that the wine is a blend of cabernet from three tremendous vineyards:  The Morisoli Vineyard (Rutherford), The Beckstoffer Vineyard (Oakville), and the Herb Lamb Vineyard (Howell Mountain).  Those who savor premium Cabernet will instantly recognize all three of those vineyards as suppliers to some of Napa's most sought after wines.  So get this wine and tell me what you think.  For those interested in additonal wines from this producer, Karl Lawrence also makes single vineyard offerings from Morisoli and Lamb Vineyards, although they are even more difficult to come by than the standard bottling, and are priced higher.  I have never had them, so can not comment on them from experience.

4.25 stars.

Purchased 375ml bottle for $27.99 at the WineSellar and Brasserie in Sorrento Valley (San Diego).  Full bottles may also be available.  Other Southland merchants carrying the wine include 20-20 Wine Merchants in Los Angeles, and  Woodland Hills Wine Company amd Liquid Partyworks, both in the San Fernando Valley (L.A.).
