The wine floored me.  It was that good.  It drank like a 60 dollar wine, but was bought at retail for 30 bucks.  I would have named FV to be the Wine of the Month, but production is limited (300 cases), so there was no sense hyping a wine that most people can't get their hands on.  The only place I have seen it for sale around here is the Meritage Wine Market in Encinitas.

Deep purple color, a heady bouquet of cassis, blackberry jam, smoke and cedar and enough fruit bursting on the palate that you hardly notice the tannic backbone of the wine.  A smooth lingering finish complete this first class wine.

4 stars

Purchased for $30 at Meritage Wine Market in Encinitas.
