I was quite smitten with this wine when I tried it (November 2006) It is a Bordeaux style blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot.  It is essentially an ultra-ripe Bordeaux flexing some Schwarzenegger size muscles.  Boasting a huge bouquet of mixed black fruits and a little background spice, it is a much more bold presentation than a typical Bordeaux.  With plenty of ultra-ripe fruit drenching the palate, you know this wine has a California pedigree.  I am moving this wine to my short list of favorites.  Well done.

Now for the bad news.  I can't remember where I bought it.  I think it may have been the Harvest Ranch Market in Encinitas on Rancho Santa Fe Rd.  $39.99
