This was a fantastic wine.  At a recent Syrah tasting of over 35 wines, this was my favorite.  I was surprised at how well this wine was drinking, as one would assume it would need more bottle age before hitting it's stride.  This wine is absolutley ready to drink now.

Dark purple color.  Huge bouquet of smoke, black berries, cherries and toasted oak, followed by a fruit forward lush caressing of the palate and a long soft finish.  One of the nicest Hermitage wines I have had in a long time.  4.5 stars.  Purchased at the Wine Exchange in Orange County for $52.
