I tasted two bottles of this wine side by side in October 2006 and was taken aback by the degree of bottle variation.  One bottle had a lot of vegetal smells in the bouquet, and the other bottle was beautiful.  This 3.5 star wine should be consumed in the next few years, as I do not know how well it will hold up going forward.  If you get a bottle that is ageing nicely, it is a true beauty, and confirms that the Robert Mondavi Winery makes one of the finest cabs in California, at a compelling price.
