Adelaida Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1995 (Paso Robles, CA)

I have been impressed with the wines from Adelaida over the last few vintages, but this 1995 was somewhat of a disappointment, especially for a reserve level wine. I will continue to collect newer vintages of Adelaida cabs, but will refrain from purchasing older vintages, as it is clear that the winery is producing on a much higher quality level now than they were a decade ago. The 1995 had a slightly vegetal bouquet, and had lost much of the fruit on the palate.
