This hard to come by wine was consumed at a Napa Valley restaurant over dinner.  The wine took a long, long time to open up.  It would benefit from sitting in a decanter for about an hour.  We let it breathe in the bottle.  Although the wine was a little tight at first, once it opened up it showed beautifully.  The wine has a deep saturated color, a huge bouquet of black fruit, vanilla, and smokey oak.  Strong tannins are well balanced against rich fruit, and the wine has a very long finish.
