Adelaida Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 (San Luis Obispo County)

Adelaida is an under-appreciated winery in the central California coastal town of Paso Robles.  They make several wines from various vineyards in Paso Robles and scattered throughout San Louis Obispo County.  They produce under 3 labels.  The high end Adelaida Reserve wines are quite good, but pricey.  The entry level wines are labeled as "Adelaida SLO" and these represent tremendous bargains.  The middle tier is just labeled as Adelaida, and there are many wines under this label that represent very good quality-to-price ratios.

The 2002 Adelaida Cabernet Sauvignon (San Louis Obispo County) retails for $28, but it can be found in the low to mid 20 dollar range if you shop around.  I purchased a bottle at the Bristol Farms market, near UTC.  The wine could easily pass for a 35-40 dollar Napa cab.  It is near full maturity, and ready for immediate consumption.
