Heitz remains one of the most overlooked wineries in Napa.  The wine is a little too tannic upon release for many people's palates (myself included), but it ages beautifully.  The 1996 Heitz cab has hit full maturity.  It still has a powerful nose, ample fruit, and soft velvety tannins.
