Anyone who says that California cabs lose their fruit after a decade in the bottle has never tried the Dunn Howell Mountain cabernet.  I tasted this wine in July 2006.  This 21 year old wine was extraordinary.  Beautiful color, with just a hint of brick at the rim.  Intriguing bouquet, and still fresh fruit on the palate with tannin as soft as faux mink!  4 stars
