This entry was posted on 7/1/2006 11:47 AM and is filed under California and Oregon Pinot Noir.

I tasted this wine in a blind tasting of Pinot Noir from California and Burgundy.  There were four of us tasting.  I liked the wine a lot and gave it 3.75 stars.  Two of the tasters gave it 3.5, and one taster gave it a 3.0.  It was an easy wine to pick out of the bunch with the characteristic fruity, earthy, truffle like bouquet with wet earth tones and all the other nuances one expects from Rosella's Vineyard.  There is plenty of fruit on the palate, but the finish was a little short.  The wine has 14.7% alcohol, but does not seem hot.

Average score of all four tasters 3.5 stars.   My score 3.75, but I like very earth Pinot a lot.

The wine was purchased at the WineSellar for $42.00
