This entry was posted on 6/19/2006 7:22 AM and is filed under California Cabernets.

Levendi Estates is a new winery project, with 2001 as the maiden vintage.  They started with a single cabernet sauvignon, termed "sweetwater ranch", and now produce 3 caberents and 2 chardonnays.  Currently the 2003 cabernets are available in the market place.  They include the "Sweetwater Ranch", "Symphonia", and "Hillside".  I have only had the Hillside.

This was a very good wine.  It is produced from grapes sourced from Mt. Veeder (75%), and Rutherford (25%).  The winemaker for the Levendi wines is Alison Green Doran.
