This is an absolutely lovely wine, and will be much appreciated by those who like soft velvety wines.  No "French Funk" aromas on this one, (although personally I like French Funk).  It is a blend of five different Russian River Valley Vineyards.

The wine has a medium ruby color, a delicate bouquet of mixed red fruits.  On the palate there are soft berry flavors, delicate tannins, and a smooth finish.  The wine is very well balanced.  For those who like soft pinots, it does not get much more elegant than this.  For those who like their Pinot's with stronger bouquets and smokier tastes, I would recommend any of the Pinot Noirs from the Santa Lucia Highlands appelation.

3.5 stars.  Full retail price approximatley 35 dollars.
