This "super-Tuscan" is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot.  The blend really works well.  The Sangiovese and Merlot soften the wine, and allow it to reach maturity early, and the Cab and Syrah give it enough backbone to really make it interesting.  I enjoyed this wine thoroughly, and I think it would make a good introduction to super-Tuscans for those just getting into this genre.  Retail price $35
