Bridesmaid is a new California cab made by  Pam Starr, Drew Neiman and Joshua Peeples.  Some readers will recognize the first two names as the namesakes behind Crocker and Starr winery, and Neiman winery.  Joshua Peeples works for Chateau Boswell.  The three of them jointly took some time away from their "day jobs" to create Bridesmaid.  I believe that the juice for this wine comes from "declassified"  barrels of wine from their respective wineries.  It is 75% cabernet sauvignon, and 25% cabernet franc.

This is a fairly big wine.  It is a deeply colored wine.  It has a nice black currant/black cherry bouquet which carries on to the palate.  The tannins are fairly prominent on the palate and throughout the finish.  I think this wine will need some time to soften.  People who like big tannic California cabs will like this one.

3.25 stars, but I suspect it will improve in the bottle.  I do not know if this is a one year project, or the start of a long term collaboration.  The wine can be found at 20/20 Wine Merchants in LA, Wades Wines in Westlake, Benchmark Wine Group in Napa, and Back Room Wines, also in Napa, and other retailers.  39 dollars retail.
