Worthy "Sophia's Cuvee" Napa Valley 2003 (cabernet blend)

This entry was posted on 3/27/2006 6:16 PM and is filed under California Cabernets, good value wines.

This wine won the wine of the week award for March 26, and represented the best wine tasted by the VinoCritic on his recent trip to Chicago.  Although a 30 dollar wine is not ordinarily considered a value wine, the Worthy gets "value wine" kudos because it effectively competes with the 50-70 dollar wines at roughly half the price.

I gave it 4 stars.

Hey, man. Nice review. I got a bottle for myself. Thanks for the advance warning on the review. Now I don't have to worry about getting shafted like a few weeks ago with the Sauvage when everyone ran out 2 days after you posted.

I agree. This is good wine, for a good price. Also agree with the fruit bomb statement. If this is the wine equivalent of Pam Anderson in a bikini, all's I can say is that she (the wine and the girl) are blessed. I also give 4 stars (for Pam and the wine!)
