Le Presi Brunello 1998

This entry was posted on 3/4/2006 6:06 PM and is filed under Italian Wines-Tuscany, Brunello, Chianti.

A relatively unknown wine producer, Le Presi has been around for about 35 years.  They only make 3 wines; a brunello, a brunello reserva, and a rosso di montalcino.  The brunello has a nice dark ruby color, a lovely bouquet of red and black fruit, and cigar box/tobacco.  This brunello is medium bodied with nice fruit and balanced acidity.  Overall, a nice effort from a mediocre vintage.  Wine was about 45 dollars at Bacchus wine market in San Diego.

I found that this was nothing more than a dissappointed taster. Nothing of substance was presented.
