A very nice Bordeaux wine in a nice vintage.  The bouquet changed dramatically after ten minutes.  Please try a sip right when you open the bottle, and taste/smell how it evolves in the glass.  The initial bouquet is almost overpowering, with interesting aromas of saddle leather, prunes, and barnyard scents.  After about ten minutes, the barnyard (which was not unpleasant, at least to me) faded, and the prunes and leather became the dominant scents.  On the palate, this wine was very accessible, with nice fruit, supple/soft  tannin, and a smooth finish.  This wine also evolved substantially on the palate as it opened up, but it took longer than the evolution of the bouquet.  At first, the finish was a little tangy.  After about an hour, it softened.

All in all, a beautiful wine.  Do not be in a rush to drink it, but do not wait until it is decanted to start enjoying it.  Enjoy each of its stages over approximately 2 hours.  4 stars
