This wine shares a lot in common with the 1994 Castillo Ygay rioja also reviewed on this site.  The wine has a medium ruby color.  The nose is full of wild cherry and cedar wood.  The wine is soft on the palate in a luxurious type of way.  This is a wine of finesse, not a wine of power.  Lovers of Pinot Noir will probably appreciate this wine.  The finish is smooth but long lasting.  3.75 stars
