Franciscan Oakville Estate 2001 and 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon

Franciscan Oakville Estates remains one of my favorite "super-market cabernets".  It is produced in high volume, and is available at most supermarkets, and liqour store superstores.  It can often times be found for under $20 on-sale.  I particularly liked the 2001, but the 2002 was almost as good.  Both wines had full Napa bouquets, soft tannins that did not need aging, and a satisfying finish.  For the price it remains a serious contender for best wine at this price point.  3.5 stars
