I have liked Plumpjack Cabs since the first time I tried one several years ago.  I don't like the current prices, but it is really good wine.  Even in bad years, they still make good wine.  The winery is owned, at least in part, by Gavin Newsome, who is the Mayor of San Francisco.  He also owns the Plumjack Restaruant in S.F., and the Plumpjack Inn at Squaw Valley Lake Tahoe.  In a nutshell, this is a quintessential Oakville Napa Valley California Cab, with plenty of ripe fruit, a big nose filling bouquet, and a finish that lasts until you go to bed.  4 stars.
