I really really like this wine.  I tasted it in 2002, 2003, and 2004.  Each time it keeps getting better.  I think it is now reaching ful maturity, but it can easily last another 10 years or more.  Like most St. Emilions, it is predominantly Merlot, with about 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.  Average age of the vines is 50 years.  They use 70% new oak, and it shows with smoky well integrated vanilla, oak and cedar tones.  The fruit comes on like a blackberry-currant elixir.  It has a beautiful boquet, and a long finish.  Although Parker's book says don't drink until 2007, it really drinks beautifully right now.  How can you resist enjoying it immediately?  4.75 stars.
